PLEASE READ.... I WON'T BE ABLE TO LIGHT CANDLES FOR A FEW DAYS BECAUSE MY MUM HAS HAD A BAD FALL
AND IS STAYING WITH ME, ALL OUR ANGELS ARE IN MY THOUGHTS xxxxxxxx

Derek sadly died very quickly after a week in intensive care of Legionaires disease. He was just
59yrs. He was a real family man who lived and worked for his family. He was a ambulance officer and
he left behind his heartbroken wife Sylvia of 37yrs, 4 children, grandchildren and
greatgrandchildren, inlaws and friends. He was respected and loved by everyone who met him. He was
the worlds greatest husband, dad and grandad and we were truly blessed he was ours.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Miss you more than ever

a very good friend to all those that knew him.I my self will never forget what Derek did for me,i
was sixteen when my mum died and with out any hesitation Derek and my sister gave me a home.I will
never forget you Derek for all the times you were there for me,and yes there were times when we
didnt all ways see eye to eye about mini skirts, make up, pop music and getting home a little
late, but bless you Derek whilst i called you the vicar i didnt realise that you were looking out for
me along with your own children. So Derek i thank you with all my heart for all that you did for me

Always watching over us as we go our way,

Never taking their eyes from us a minute of the day,

Guardians who are here to keep us from all harm

Each time we face danger, darkness, or alarm,

Looking out for us through each trial we face,

Sent straight from heaven, by His mercy, love, and grace.

Dad
Dad...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.

What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.

What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.

Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.

Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.

Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.

Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.

Today, Jesus, as You are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad
and give him all my love.

God's Heavenly Garden

Sometimes God picks the flower that is in full bloom:
sometimes the rosebud's chosen that we
feel He's picked too soon.

Sometimes the flower is fading with petals
floating down, but God knows the perfect time
to gather flowers from the ground.

There is a heavenly garden in which God takes
great pleasure because He's placed within it the
loved ones that we treasure.

He walks among the blossoms giving them eternal
rest, and I know that it must please Him because
He chose the very best.

And your eyes are filled with tears
But I ask you not to cry for me
Because your smile is so dear

My time has come to go
To heaven up above
Where there’s no more pain and suffering
It’s peaceful like a dove

I’ll save a place right next to me

Until its time for you to join me

MY DAD

I will take this special moment
To turn my thoughts to Dad
Thank him for the home he gave
For all the things we had.

We think about the fleeting years
Too quickly, gone for good
It seems like only yesterday
I’d go back if I could.

A time when Dad was always there
No matter what the weather
Always strong when things went wrong
He held our lives together.

He strived so hard from day to day
And never once complained
With steady hands, he worked the land
And kept the family name.

He taught us that hard work pays off
You reap just what you sow
He said that if you tend your crops
Your field will overflow.

My harvest has been bountiful
He taught me how to give
In his firm and steadfast way
He taught me how to live.

Dad dwells among the angels now
He left us much too soon .
He glides across goldenfield
Above the harvest moon.

I see him in the fields of grain
He rides upon the wind
And when my path is beaten down
He picks me up again.

Weep not for me
Now that I have passed.
Remember the laughter, the affection, the joy
Not just the recent tears.
Cherish the memories, our hopes and dreams.
Hold fast to the love that we shared.
Be happy with the time we spent together
And being anew.
For I am not really gone,
I am closer than ever before.
As the morning sun rises
And throughout the busy day...I am with you.
Until the setting sun disappears on the horizon
And we watch the day turn into night...I am here.
You may feel a faint breeze stir round your head, while you slumber
As I gently kiss your forehead, "Good night."
The stars that shine so brightly in my heavenly sky
Help me watch over you and keep you from harm.
I am the wind in the trees
And the song of a bird.
I am moonbeams in a midnight sky
And a glorious rainbow after the storm.
I am morning dew
And freshly-fallen snow.
I am a butterfly flying overhead
And a puppy happily at play.
I am a smile on a stranger's face
A gentle touch
A warm embrace.
Listen to the wind for my message of love.
Watch the sun rise and set in the sky with me.
Feel my essence encircle you with warm memories.
Open your heart to know...I am not gone.
Reach deep into your soul...You will find me.
I am here.
Have no fear.
I am with you,
Always.

IF YOU KNEW

IF YOU KNEW WHERE I AM STANDING
IF YOU COULD SEE THE SIGHTS I SEE
IF YOU COULD HEAR THE ANGELS SINGING
THE SONGS THEY SING ETERNALLY
IF YOU KNEW THE ONE I'M HOLDING
COULD SEE THE SMILE HE SMILES AT ME
IF YOU KNEW WHERE I AM RESTING
YOU WOULD NOT CRY FOR ME

I'M RESTING IN THE ARMS OF JESUS
NO OTHER PLACE WOULD I RATHER BE
SO IF YOU SHED A TEAR
PLEASE DON'T SHED IT FOR ME
FOR IF YOU KNEW WHERE I AM RESTING
YOU WOULD NOT CRY FOR ME

I know it’s hard and painful now
And your heart is truly breaking
But I just wanted you to know
As time goes on it will stop aching
I did not leave you there alone
I’m closer now than ever
I’m in your thoughts
Your mind and dreams
I’ll be with you forever
